Luxor Mummification Museum is located in Luxor and is on the Nile side of the Corniche in front of the Mina Palace Hotel. The museum is intended to an understanding of mummification. The Ancient Egyptians applied embalming techniques to many species, not only to people. Mummies of cats, fish and crocodiles are on display in the museum.

The museum has a tiny (circa 60 pieces) number of items on display and, for the entrance fee, the visitor may be disappointed with the Museum - especially compared to the near-by Luxor Museum has a truly excellent range of items on display. This is more of a quick-visit when talking an evening walk along the Nile, but it does offer a moderate depth of information on Mummification .
