Northern transept which has a doorway leading to the exterior and an entrance into a spiral staircase which led into the octagonal tower (which collapsed in 1744). The entrance to the spiral staircase is now only partially visible because the modern floor level of approximately 5 feet above the 13th century levels. Duiske Abbey, County Kilkenny, Ireland.
