Connections between Egypt and Crete

Tomb 416 consisted of six burial shafts, which were damaged when the walls between them collapsed. Discovered in 1907, the tomb was an important source for the chronology of the Minoan culture of ancient Crete, because the grave goods include a Minoan jar imported to Egypt and two cylinder seals inscribed with the names of the 12th Dynasty kings Senusret II, Senusret III, and Amenemhat III.
