Painted pottery jar with boat designs. Predynastic period mid-Naqada II from El Adaima. Originally the pot was jung using a string through the holes in the three handles. the painted boats have palm branches at the prow and what seems to be oars at the bottom - also there are two cabins on the desk. Each cabin has a female figure flanked by smaller male figures - possible representing a goddess and her priests. The upraised arms and long skirt of the female figures resemble those of the "Bird Lady."
