PORTRAIT BUST OF RAMESES II
The head of Rameses is carved from a block of Red Granite. The block was re-used around 1000 bc when the temple of the Bast in Bubastis was built (Lower Egypt). The back is carved with figures of priests which decorated the walls of the great hall of the temple.
