Musée du Louvre, Paris. Low relief painted wooden shabti box from Thebes, dating to c.600-300 BC. It was deposited in the tomb beside the person's coffin and it contained representations of personal servants and other items which a person would need to maintain their lives, and social position, in the after-life.
